Mitchell Hub Microcredential for Neuroequity in the Workplace

Create an Equitable Work Environment for Neurodivergent Colleagues

This course provides the knowledge and awareness to launch conversations and actions to better understand neurodiversity, the strengths it provides to a workplace and the strategies for planning and developing an equitable working environment for a neurodiverse workforce.

Learners can take this course individually. We encourage management teams or departments to take it together, supporting the online course with facilitated discussions.

Neurodiversity and Working

Up to 20% of the global population is neurodivergent – who perceive and interact with the world differently than the neurotypical majority.

Recruiting and retaining staff is one of the biggest challenges for businesses in the current economic climate. When “51% of neurodivergent workers [think] about quitting or having left their job because they do not feel their employer is doing enough to support their needs.” (Alludo, 2023), there is a human value and a business value in creating a neuroinclusive working environment.
